It’s time for Massachusetts to commit to more funding to make public higher education truly affordable and accessible! You are invited to join us in welcoming Boston legislators to hear testimony from UMB students, staff & faculty about how we need the additional funding that passing the CHERISH Act would provide. The Cherish Act (S.816; H.1260) would substantially increase state funding for Massachusetts public higher education for:
- Debt-Free Public Higher Education
- Increased Student Supports
- Recruit and Retain High-Quality Faculty and Staff
- Green, Healthy, and Safe Campus Facilities
Some of our Boston legislators have signed on to cosponsor CHERISH, but we need to convince more of them to do so. We are holding this Legislative Lunch just a few days before the CHERISH State House hearing and we hope that you will consider attending the hearing as well (see below).
