With the help of UAW Local 1596, graduate assistants working through the Graduate Employee Organization (GEO) have achieved a more than 50% stipend increase, a substantial subsidy for health care costs, and a significant fee waiver, among various other improvements.

We suspect that all graduate employees would like more say in how the university operates, and the GEO provides a strong platform from which we can all make our voices heard!
